State Testing

State Testing Plan 2025

 

 

Special Notes:

• Specialist of the day will cover testing period 2 for grades 4 and 5
• Algebra is 90 minutes, these students will take it with Mrs. Devecchis in a separate room and will stay until the other math classes are done. 
• Upon the completion of the test, students should stay at their desk and read, draw or put their head down. They may not use their computers. 
• As we have done in the past, teachers should be teaching in the afternoon. The work can be review, reading novels, passion projects, etc. Administration does not expect to see movies, games, or outside time. 

 

*A celebration activity can be scheduled for Thursday May 15th. Please follow this schedule if using outside:

3-4th grade 1-1:30pm

5th and 6th 1:30 - 2pm

7 - 8th: 2 - 2:30

 

*Specials will not be changed. In some instances in the past the specialist teachers and homeroom teachers were able to switch with different grade levels. For example if 4th grade gym and 2nd grade gym are able to switch and all parties agree this is what we encourage. If it isn't possible because of meetings or another extenuating circumstance then specialist teachers should plan to go to the classroom and proctor the test in order to give the teacher their prep.

Special Notes:

• Students in 8th grade will take their unit 1 test in their second period class. They will take their unit 2 test in their 3rd period class. (the same system the next day with Unit 3 and 4)
• 5th grade will have to work with their 4th grade team on a planned schedule.  
  • Suggestion:
    • 1st period 5th grade homerooms test
    • Specials and switch
    • 3rd period take test with next teacher
    • Follow schedule rest of day as normal. *This can be adjusted to something that works better for the team as long is testing is done before lunch.
