I am so glad to be a part of the Magnolia community as the child study team social worker. I have been a certified school social worker since 2006 and have been a licensed clinical social worker since 2014. I feel blessed to be able to do work that I truly enjoy and that is meaningful to me. I am deeply committed to equity in education and I believe ALL children have the right to receive a high quality education. As a school socialworker, it is my responsibility to recognize and address any barriers that might stand in the way of students
having access to the education they are entitled to. Part of my duties as the child study team social social worker involves assessing students relative to their families, the school, and the community as part of the evaluation process. I also case manage students with IEP’s from PreK to 2nd grade and our out-of-district placement
students.I am married to Jorge and we have a son named CJ. We also share our home with our cat Midnight and our bearded dragon, Titan. I enjoy traveling, gardening, cooking, baking, visiting museums, and dabbling in crafts.My current craft obsession is quiltmaking! I am active in my church as a worship team member and enjoy spending time with my family and friends in my free time.
